Tried to install Amahi from the terminal using

Code: Select all

rpm -Uvh http://f23.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release-6.9.0-1.noarch.rpm
but I get

Code: Select all

curl: (7) failed to connect to localhost port 80: connection refused error: skipping http://f23.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release-6.9.0-1.noarch.rpm - transfer failed
I've pinged google.com and it went through, so I know I have at least some Internet access

Did you precisely follow the install instructions at http://docs.amahi.org?

Behavior appears as if there is a network problem.

Followed it for everything up through the fedora part. Installed nano then tried Amahi. Nano went just fine, Amahi through an error. More than willing to run another install attempt, but change the order I run that stuff.

Not sure why it did not work then.

Ensure you follow the instructions in the documented order.

Don't install anything else or deviate from the install process until it's all working.

With reinstall #3, Amahi has gone through. On my amahi.org/users page, it still says Waiting install, though. I can access & use the dashboard too, but the apps page is completely empty.

Try another reboot or two.

That should fix the issue.

Control Panel still saying Waiting install, but I have a proper apps page now. That's good enough for me. Thank you very much for your help, both in this thread & the other.

No problem.

The control panel should catch up eventually.

Happy to assist.
