CLOSED: Hostname incorrect

Postby evylrat » Sun May 15, 2016 4:04 pm

Fedora 23.
The hostname i presume should be hda.yourdomain.com?
Mine has pulled a DHCP name off my router (even though that IP address was not the same as HDA), so now my HDA is actually called
ace3.fritz.box
Can I use hostnamectl to correct it?

Yes that would work.

See change host name guidance in the wiki.

No problem.

You might want to bookmark the HDA Admin How To wiki site. It has links to many of the most common tasks users need.
