Upgrading to Amahi 9

Hi,
I am in the process of upgrading from Amahi 8 to 9. I am installing onto a new SSD so that I have my previous installation still available if it all goes horribly wrong.

My problem is that I don’t know how to obtain a new installation code. My control panel says:

Status: Not updating [presumably because I am part way through my new installation]

There is a red Delete button but no obvious means of ADDING a profile.

My understanding was that it is possible to have more than one profile (as some people have more than one HDA) but I see no option for this.

Do I need to delete the existing one an make up a new one? If I did that but then wanted to revert to my old Amahi 8 installation (perhaps temporarily by swapping the disk back) how would I do that?

Final questions: if I wanted to change my nickname (currently wizards) can I do that at the same time? And what about my home domain? (I occasionally have trouble with this because it clashes with an internet domain). As I have paid for Pro membership and have paid for a few applications will these be available if I change my nickname?

Many thanks
Gary Moore

Replied via email.

The issue with the "new profile" had to be disabled for people with no running HDAs due to abuse. I sent the work-around.

Thanks for the quick reply but I'm a bit stuck as my usual email address is currently not working. How can I send you my gmail address without everyone seeing it?

Please ignore my reply above, I've managed to unlock my email now.

Hmmm, having requested a new profile as per your instructions it's given me an Install Code but it says "Amahi 8 Install" - but I want to install Amahi 9.

The install code is universal.

Once we formally announce the release of Amahi 9, it will be changed.
