Newbie Install Issues - Amahi Reboots into Text Console
Good afternoon. I installed Fedora 21 successfully and the Amahi 8 install went smoothly as well. After Amahi was finished installing I rebooted (as instructed) but a text console came up (looked the exact same as the one after the Fedora install). The Amahi log in page never comes up. I tried installing Amahi again but the text console says the files were already installed. I did used the minimal install instructions. When I try to access my HDA via http://hda/ am error message pops up saying "This webpage is not available" but my control panel says my HDA is running. I have no idea what to try next. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Re: Newbie Install Issues - Amahi Reboots into Text Console
The text console is normal as this is a headless server, meaning no desktop.
If you did not turn off the DHCP on your router and renew the IP address on your client, you will not be able to access the HDA dashboard via http://hda.
You should also access it via IP address.
Recommend you review the install intructions where it outlines how to access your server. There is a portion called Transitioning to using your Amahi server.
BTW there is troubleshooting guidance on the install page as well that you might want to consult.
