Short and sweet question here... I need to move my recent Amahi 8 install, from a previous drive over to a fresh, blank (and larger) SSD.
What is the recommended procedure for this?
(Do I need to just reinstall? And if so, reinstall Greyhole as well? Or do I copy all the files/directories -- from one drive to the next?)
I'm new to Linux, so any help appreciated. (A link to a relevant how-to-guide perhaps?) Thanks!
lg
P.S. My fpaste is ur1.ca/od2mo, if it's relevant...

Re: Moving existing Amahi OS (from previous drive to new SSD?)
I would recommend using something like Clonezilla to back up the existing drive and restore to the new one.
You can boot it off of CD or USB Flash Drive.

Re: Moving existing Amahi OS (from previous drive to new SSD?)
Done... thank you!
For anyone else trying to identically clone their Amahi system drive to a new drive(and assuming you have a vanilla Amahi 8/Fedora install you're cloning), make sure you DO NOT have Clonezilla install Grub for you. I made that mistake, and the clone was altered with Grub as the bootloader (of course).
I tried cloning again, and turning off the Grub argument (in the Clonezilla menus) fixed the problem. All other arguments were default. FYI, I used the "expert" set of menus. Worked great.

Re: Moving existing Amahi OS (from previous drive to new SSD?)
Good to know. Might be worth adding it to the Clonezilla Amahi wiki page.
If you could do that, we would greatly appreciate it.
BTW I presume we can close this thread now.
