move from amahi 7 to 8 with app data
Want to upgrade to Amahi 8 but am concerned about the wifes php recipe data base. have run the migration script but don't feel like it backed up the recipe file. what is the best way to back up this phprecipe file? Also have looked at the database backup script but don't understand the line changes it said to make. any help? i am a newbie and examples mean a lot.
Re: move from amahi 7 to 8 with app data
The easiest way is to do it using a web app like phpMyAdmin or Adminer. Then install them on Amahi 8 and use to import the data.
You could also install phpMyBackup Pro or the Database Backups plugin too.
Honestly I would make the backup using one of the apps, then leave it installed for the upgrade. If it dies, at least you have the SQL to rebuild it.

Thanks, different from what I was thinking.

What were you expecting? This is a simpler method in my opinion.
