help with basic amahi /fedora 21 install

Postby ravi53 » Sun Oct 18, 2015 12:04 am

hi
complete newbie/novice here
I am doing a clean install on feeder 21/amahi 8 on virtual box on mac os x (yosemite). I have followed the instruction as per amahi website. I seemed to have installed fedora 21(minimal installation) OK, rebooted, and input the commands to install amahi 8 on top of fedora,as per the website. It seemed to go thru the install alright I think, ( though I am doubtful about the last command - where I input the " HDA install code "- it did not ask me to reboot , nor did it reboot itself). I am just not sure what to do next and how do I get to the screen where I then input my HDA log in details I have tried inputting http://hda/, in safari/chrome browser- and it says web page not available or leads me to had.com website.
any help/guidance here would be most appreciated.
cheers ravi

Your install code will be installed via the command-line.Did you follow the Amahi 8 Wiki ?
https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_8_Install
Scroll down to Amahi 8 install and run those commands. You'll input your code with the last command. If you've already done this and it is still giving you problems then it may be something else.... Maybe the VM or Mac OS, in which I'm not much help there.
Server: AsRock N3700(4-core) mini-itx,8GB crucial RAM,Iocrest 8-port expansion card,450W corsair psu, x4 3TB WD green drives. All in a Sunbeam UFO case. (Amahi 8).

Yep, put the install code on the command line, I'll try deleting the fedora from virtual box and re-installing fedora and amahi and see how it goes
