Last time I had to reinstall Amahi due to a server crash, I ended up losing access to my data drives and had to wipe them and re-backup my computers data to Amahi.

How can I upgrade to the latest Amahi without losing access to my shares?

Follow the Amahi 7 to Amahi 8 Upgrade guidance. This is not the preferred method of installing Amahi 8, but has been tested. Most users have been successful.
