amahi 8 and reuse of install code

I am running Amahi 6 on a HP mediasmart server. I was going to pull the drives, throw in a single small drive, attempt to install v8, work out config issues and ensure all is smooth with access and the network. If I'm happy, then I'd re-do it with the 'original drives'. If things don't work out, then I'd put the original drives back in and try again some other time.

I did a search and found an old post that indicated that since I'm not running 2 HDAs on the network, I can reuse my install code for the Amahi 8 experiment. I'm just checking that nothing has changed and that is still the case. I think the post was a Bigfoot65 reply from 2013 that noted a code can be reused if it is not to be used by another server. This fits my situation. Can you validate my assumption?

I would not recommend reuse of the install code. We have changed some things since Amahi 6 that might cause issues for Amahi 8.

Best to just create a new code and move on.
