CLOSED: Amahi 8 unable to resolve dependencies for hda-ctl and hda-platform

So I just built a new server with a smaller form factor (my old Amahi 7 is a refurbished desktop), and what luck Amahi 8 just came out!
I have installed Fedora 21 from the Fedora-Server-DVD-x86_64-21.iso from a USB and it seemed fine. I initially had some issues with the net install not booting after install but that ended up being a IOS/UEFI issue. I did a UEFI install from the server DVD iso but oddly enough it didn't like using the image as a repo source and I had it pull from the net in the end.
Anyway my real problem is i can't install hda-ctl or hda-platform as per the guide. They list ruby 2.1.6 as a dependency but the repos only have 2.1.7. I don't believe yum can ignore dependencies (which is usually). Can I have it ignore the version difference someho? It seems safe in this instance I would think. I tried downloading the rpm and ignored all dependencies but that may have made things worse (some portion of the install that proceeded assumed I already had an apache user/group).
I'm not opposed to starting over if I can get past this (embarrassing) roadblock. If I wanted dependency hell I'd go wish Slackware jk I'm just a bit rusty. I love 7 and looks like I'll love 8 if I can get it installed.
