Marcel, this is in my opinion not a PDC related problem,
have you done anything else? disabled other options, clicked other links whatsoever?

hehe, windows sucks yes..
you know, i pay quite some money for windows because that i run a company, i cant use illegal windows keys ;)
But im beginning my switch to linux.

for your notebook, i suggest look at sidux, its based on Debian sid, and as you all know ive been in love with Debian for quite some time.
I installed it on my netbook (Acer Aspire One) and so far its the only distro that runs perfect OOB

As for Windows 7,
You could look on marktplaats.nl for a license, but im not sure you want that.
Raises the question, what do you consider expensive?
for a tool you use most likely every day, i consider 100,- not expensive, i have shoes that cost more and i wear them only 3 times a year ;)

I didn't meant illegal but you have sites like slim.nl were you can order a cheap license (you have to be student). I don't use illegal software and I buy most of my music. Used and new cd's.

I'll find Microsoft is overpricing here software I'am curroius what google is going to do with Chrome-OS. I like Andriod on the mobile phones. Yeah for the moment i use Linux and Windows vista but one day i totally switch to Linux.

Jan do you have experience with openoffice? Can i use excel sheets with Openoffice? Hmmm, never tried. I only have Windows vista with office on my notebook for my work to do some administrative tasks.

Nono, i didnt meant to say you're using illegal software, im simply explaining why i pay so much money!

I found this little bugger yesterday on the forum for aspire one!
i think it rules allready, it works quick and looks sleek, especially the KDE version ;)

I dont think microsoft is overpricing, especially not for the businessunit!

Open Office?
i think it is now fully compatible with excel sheets yes, but im not sure yet!
you can always try ;)
I'm not sure how much watt my machine is using, i havent looked into it yet, but it only has a 120W power supply, so it cant be that bad ;)

Intel Atom (especially the dual core ones) are quite ready for "soft" server usage, especially in home boxes.
I'm not sure i would want to run them in a company though ;)

linux by default is NFS minded (Network File System) i believe.
Samba is basicly an "adition" to linux's networking capability, and makes linux able to live with windows file servers.
