Hello,
I just started my first HDA and I'm in the setup process.
I don't want to use Amahi as DNS, so I turned DNS off, I install some simple Apps (supersync, Amahi Anywhere,...) but whe I click on the link to manage the apps, my browser goes to search..
Is that because of the DNS? how do I solve that?
thanks
DNS and Apps Access??
Re: DNS and Apps Access??
Yes that is because of the DNS.
Recommend you leave DNS enabled. You can change the DNS provider to use your ISP DNS or others. By default it uses OpenDNS.
Why would you not want to use the HDA for DNS? Are you using it for DHCP?

Re: DNS and Apps Access??
Hi,
I don't wanna leave DNS to HDA cause I'm just testing the server and it will be a part time server, do you know a workaround?

Re: DNS and Apps Access??
The FAQ might help.
You can point the HDA to your ISP DNS server and still use the router for services. However as you see in the FAQ, there are some tradeoffs.
There is no work around as Amahi is not designed nor intended to be a part time server.
