so i downloaded the fedora 10 dvd and added the amahi repository during install. had to hit retry a couple times when it got the packages but other than that went pretty smooth. when i rebooted it it gets to the screen with the bar on the bottom and says "nit[1]: segfault at 8 ip 00160717 sp bf916ab0 error 4 in libdevmapper.so.1.02[152" then when i presses the up arrow it shows this:

could not detect stabilization, waiting 10 seconds.
device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: no such device or adress
device-mapper: table ioctl failed: no such device or address
nash recieved SIGSEGV! backtrace (15):
/bin/nash[some hex numbers] (5 times)
/urs/lib/libnash.so.6.0.71[more hex numbers] (8 times)

smells like a hardware issue (memory ok?) or perhaps a corrupted install? (also possibly memory related)

i don't think it would be a memory issue, had m$ WHS running on it for a while then triend ubuntu server and didn't have much problems. couldn't get drivers for the video card in either OS tho, think that might be the problem?

Is the video card onboard or PCI?

yes, if it was running some other (unnamed) OS in there, memory is probably fine.

not a raid expert here. possibly a disk is MIA?
