Yes i did, if you look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F78Lm6zpHKw
I'm at the stage 3:00, when you login on your localhost but then it wants me to do something else which i do not understand.

Thanks

Amahi is a headless server. You use your web browser and navigate to http://hda to use it.

Sounds like you are at the command line. Nothing for you to do there unless you want to do OS updates.

Well, after the installation where i reboot my system i got to bios and set my HDD as main instead of the usb i installed from.
After that i get a "loading" screen and after that i am in the command line.

Btw, i'm a little noob about this. I installed amahi on the hdd windows 7 home prem was installed but that dosent matter right?
This is a linux server?

Thanks for helping me!

No problem.

You are correct this is a server, so you do most of the work via a web browser on a client machine.

Did you check out the tutorials on http://docs.amahi.org? They show you how to use some of the functionality. You can also peruse the Amahi wiki. There are many articles there that are useful, especially for a newbie.

I am a Linux and Amahi newbie, and I having the exact same issue. Yes, I have read the Docs page, and viewed the Install video on youtube, but neither addesses this issue.

After the initial GUI install and reboot, I had a similar problem. I was presented with a login, which I did, and the I just had a prompt that said [username@comp name ~]$. I had a hunch so I went to another computer and tried http://hda. Surprisingly what I got was my home theater receiver in the basement. I checked my network clients list, and found that the receiver was using the IP address that had been slated for the server when I did the initial setup with Amahi. Apparently that is a problem as devices come and go from the network. An open IP address yesterday, might not be open when you do the actual install. I unplugged the receiver, and now I can access the server via http://hda. At this point I disabled the DHCP function in my router to prevent future IP conflicts.
