Hi there,
After a lot of research searching online, I found Amahi to have some great capability. I know nothing about Linux but am fairly proficient from a user's perspective on Windows.
I have spent so much time attempting to set up Fedora on my Dell Latitude D620, but with little success. I was finally able to install Fedora 15 on my machine, however I have been unable to find a way to add the amahi repository. So I simply have Fedora-15-i686-Live-KDE on my machine but without any understanding on how I'm supposed to take the next step and begin installing the programs to set up Amahi for it's VPN, media sharing, pooling disk space, etc. capabilities.
I have truly spent hours researching on the Wiki, YouTube, and the internet to set this up on my machine for my home use, and am so frustrated! Any help at all would be much appreciated.
Oh, also I have a 32 bit processor, or else I would simply do the Express CD.
Best,
- Jordan Jensen
No New Repository Option? Fedora 15.
Re: No New Repository Option? Fedora 15.
Amahi is ONLY officially supported on Fedora 19. It will not work on Fedora 15.
See http://docs.amahi.org or the Amahi Wiki for install guidance.
EDIT: For 32-bit machines, see Amahi 7 Full DVD or Fedora 19 USB install.
These are the only methods to install Amahi in Fedora 19 in addition to the Express CD.
