SOLVED: can not install Amahi 7 express install dvd

This is my first post here.

I just purchassed a Thinkserver ts140 to install Amahi 7.

I set the bios to legacy os, legacy boot first, boot dvd first.

downloaded the amahi 7 express install from torrent and another from http. Burned both to dvd and can not noot to install from either of them.

I thought it was the bios setting, but its not. I was able to boot from a lenovo dvd.

what am I missing? is therr snything else I should do to the amahi 7 download before burning?

Recommend you check the download is not corrupt. We provide checksums to assist with verification.

Also, I presume this machine is 64-bit architecture. If not, the Express DVD will not work. You would need to follow wiki guidance for installing 32-bit full DVD.

The machine is a server 64bit indeed.

I will try the checksum. BUT I have a few questions.

The torrent download is named Amahi-7.1-x86_64-DVD.iso.torrent and shows a downloaded size of only 32 kb is this the real iso file r do I need a torrent ap to download the file and that is only a link or something like that?

the HTTP file is Amahi-7.1-x86_64-DVD.iso and is 799,744 kb, but it does not boot I guess this is the full iso. But will checksum maybe is corrupted.

I answered myself, I just installed bittorrent and Im downloading the file..... we'll see

Not good.

I burned the torrent iso, have attempted the install, but stays stock after the first reboot on the command prompt asking a login.

I have attempted 4 times to no avail. What should I do?

This is a headless server. Did you follow guidance at http://docs.amahi.org?

Yes I get it, as it is a headless install, no GUI is available on the Server itself.

If I understand correctly, the login after the second boot is what the server screen should look like if correctly installed?

The thing is I have not been able to access the server from the http://hda/ neither from the ip.

Anything I should try?

Did you follow step 4 of Amahi 7 Express Install instructions? There are some troubleshooting tips there as well.
