Migration

Postby uslacker » Tue Jul 22, 2014 11:31 am

I have a version 6/Fedora 14 installation that I am planning to move to an new hardware platform. I might as well upgrade at the same time. Platform contains a pair of 1TB drives in a greyhole pool plus a half dozen web apps.

Q: is there a guide/wiki page to guide me through the process of moving to Amahi 7 & (what - Fedora 19?)

Better Q: is this still the best guide?

I'm in a similar situation, old Fedora 14 distro, now I want to upgrade using the same hardware.

The link
Says: If you are looking to upgrade your existing installation you should probably look elsewhere.

So I'm not sure if that's relevant for me. Is there a way to upgrade without doing a new install and having to re-configure all settings etc?

No problem.

We hope to have some type of backup routine in the future which will allow for a smoother transition from one OS to the other.
