new install ----sort of.
have had a fedora 12 running amahi 5 since 2010.
the zoneminder app on amahi 7 will allow me to go from 2 servers to 1 in the laundry room.
this will make the laundress
so it is time to upgrade.

I have all of the /var/hda/files backed up via rsync & cron to another machine.

the plan is
1.to take the fedora 12 machine off line.
2.reformat the 4tb drive on the zm server & install amahi 7 express cd.

my question is, can I use the same amahi install code that I use presently on the amahi 7 box ?

There have been some changes with the infrastructure since F12. I would recommend you delete the profile, then create a new one.

You cannot run 2 HDAs using the same code at the same time. There will be conflict if that was your intent.

I was not going to run both machines at the same time.
