SOLVED: Search HDA not working - Amahi 7.1

Hi.
I did a fresh install with Express Disk 7.1 and now the search funtion on the control/setup panel is not working (it was working in my prior install Amahi 7).
Can anybody tell if a solution exists?

There is no known bug with the search that I know. It could be a bad install. If it worked before, one would think it would still work.
Not much if anything has changed with Amahi 7 that would cause issues. Recommend you check logs. Is this the only issue?

Thanks for the answer.
I've made 2 fresh installs. One, with express disk, on a 64 bits machine and the other one on a 32 bits machine. Both have the same issue. I didn't check any logs but both installs were smooth and servers working just fine.
Is there any special log that I should look?

There are some logs in /var/hda/ directory structure some where that might be helpful. What browser are you using? There may be some compatibility issues with certain browsers.
Can you also elaborate on what you are trying to search for? Trying to understand what might not be working as designed.

My issue is the same as described on Bug #622. But I do not have Greyhole installed...

It could be log file related. Look at the log file sizes in /var/log to see. Based on what I saw in the bug, it was related to Greyhole log file. Since you are not using Greyhole, it could be another log that is causing issues.
This has always been a feature that had issues. It might be worth you submitting a new bug and reference the old one.

Sorry it's not so obvious. Here's the process:
1. Log into the bug tracker
2. Select Project
3. Choose category. For this one it would be Platform.
4. Select New Issue
FYI all bugs unless told otherwise are considered normal and left unassigned. Ensure you specify Amahi 7.1 or choose it in the dropdown.
