Re: keeps crashing during install
Check to ensure you have a good download and CD burn. Also, are you using old hardware?
You might consider trying the full DVD method as documented in the wiki. This has worked for many as an alternative.

Re: keeps crashing during install
Is this Express CD or full DVD?

Re: keeps crashing during install
I've also recently encountered this issue with the Express disc. I'd be interested to know if anyone has managed to find the reason for the error. I'm going to try a new download and burn of the express version and if that doesn't work will try the full install. Are the instructions for that up to date on the wiki as the commands mention version 6.9.0 and not 7.1
UPDATE POTENTIAL SOLVED: Ok after much gnashing of teeth and downloading of various ROM's in various formats, I have managed to get the Express disc to install. My solution was to disable all the UEFI boot settings in the BIOS and change them all to legacy. If you have these settings in your BIOS, I'd try that before anything else.

Re: keeps crashing during install
Would you mind adding this to the wiki for Express CD troubleshooting? We would greatly appreciate it.
