A bit lost in IT

Hello everybody,

I am soon to be a new user of Amahi, and have several questions / problems setting everything up.
Let me put everything in here, and if some of you guys have some info to share, thanks in advance.

1) When signing up, emails @free.fr are refused. I had to create a gmail.com one. Why is that?

2) When configuring your HDA online, for your Home Domain dashes are forbidden but the wiki claims they are allowed...

3) For this home domain, I have some questions regarding the interaction with an AD-DC on my network running under Windows Server 2012. This DC is used to manage user accounts for the Windows machines over the network. I would like to use it along with Amahi so that the Domain users are automatically recognised to access the shares (so that the files access rights are properly configured).
3.a) Is it possible?
3.b) If yes, must I configure the Amahi Home Domain to be the same as my main domain?
3.c) If yes, how can I set it up with a dash? (e.g. foo-bar.org)
3.d) Then, how can I make Amahi recognise directly my AD users?

Thank you for the answers.
And please be patient with me, I am new to all of this stuff.

Hello everybody,
1) When signing up, emails @free.fr are refused. I had to create a gmail.com one. Why is that?
It may be blocked by our spam detector. We deal with quite a bit of unsolicited email and attacks.
2) When configuring your HDA online, for your Home Domain dashes are forbidden but the wiki claims they are allowed...
Can you point out the wiki page? It may be old guidance that needs revised.
Amahi can support Active Directory, but it is not installed by default. This is something you would have to do on your own. There may be some guidance in the wiki to help.
3.b) If yes, must I configure the Amahi Home Domain to be the same as my main domain?
3.c) If yes, how can I set it up with a dash? (e.g. foo-bar.org)
Don't have a clue on this one.
3.d) Then, how can I make Amahi recognise directly my AD users?
See the answer to 3a.

Sorry I am not much help, but hopefully I gave you more to think about.
