Cannot log-in for first time user Ubuntu

Hi, am new to both Linux and Amahi. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section or has been asked before.
I have clean-installed Ubuntu 12.04 and Amahi today. All seems good.
I double click the Amahi dashboard. Firefox loads the //hda log-in page
I enter the user name and password I used to set up Ubuntu
I'm told it is the wrong user name or password
I have checked and triple checked the user name and password including case sensitivity
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Brian

The Ubuntu user you created does not work? Recommend you check the log files. We have not heard of any issues as of yet.

Some people reported this, but we always traced it to capitalization, or typos and user absent-mindedness.
if you log out from the desktop and try to login again ... do the credentials you are using in your dashboard work?

There his a need for a better installation manual... for Ubuntu 12.04

Did you follow the instructions at
http://docs.amahi.org? We would like to make things better, but need help. Would you be willing to assist?

Yep, I've got the same problem - all installed fine but then can't log in to
http://hda despite entering the password correctly and trying every username associated to Amahi/server (including my Amahi install code).
Another bug I've spotted is that before I installed Amahi, Ubuntu recognised my network connections correctly, since installing Amahi, I've lost the eth0 network connection in the wired network connections menu, but I still have full network access via eth0.
Any help would be appreciated...

Need for information. Did you install Desktop or Server? Did you follow the instructions at
http://docs.amahi.org? I presume this is not an existing Ubuntu install.
Most installs have went smoothly. Only a few have had issues and those often have been contributed to user error. If you could check the /root/hda-install.log what would help.
Also the correct user name and password for Amahi Dashboard is the one you created when installing Ubuntu. Nothing else will work.

Hi Bigfoot
It is a fresh install of Ubuntu Desktop (inc new hardware) and I've followed the instructions in the wiki.
I've added a copt of the HDA install log - it's quite long and after a quick glance, I haven't spotted anything untoward.
I've tried using the Amahi 'install code', my Amahi username, the Ubuntu log-in user name, the device name and the associated passwords for all these - I've tried these at least 5 times each so typos are very unlikely.
Let me know if I can provide more info to help diagnose.
Thanks

The credentials are the user you created in Ubuntu on install.

Was there a resolution to this?
I have exactly the same problem after installing Ubuntu Client 12.04 LTS and then Amahi. I'm using the user created during the installation process and can login to Ubuntu using this user, but can't use this user when logging in to trying to logon to the Amahi Dashboard.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
