Hi, newbie here, though I have now installed Amahi 4 or 5 times in two weeks (its how I learn things!).
I'm now happy enough with it that I am going to get rid of the old Pentium 4 and build something brand new so I don't worry about hardware failing.
Spec is as follows:
Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 (AMD chipset, onboard GFX, 6x sata 6gbps, usb3, 8-ch sound)
AMD Phenom II x4 965 8mb Cache 3.2GHz Quad-core
4Gb (2x2) PC1600MHz memory
1x Crucial 64Gb SSD (swap & boot & '/')
5x Samsung HD204UI 2TB 5400rpm (1st one as 'var/hda/files', rest as 'var/hda/files/drives/samsung2' [then 3, 4, 5] )
So.....32 or 64 bit?
To confirm; its a server, once installed I won't be using it for anything, browsing etc.
But I have installed each time in 32 bit and am happy with it.
I also worry about drivers.
Your advice is welcome.
cheers
Andy

Re: 32 or 64 bit?
If you're happy with 32bit stay with it... I suspect you don't need the 64 bit addressing if you're using the system normally.
drivers should be no problem if you want to go 64 bit, this is Linux, not Windows
