I have burned 2 install DVDs, just to make sure it wasnt a coastered disc issue. I power up, disc boots to a screen that has a 60 second count down. I wait the 60 seconds, the boot continues with a statement about a file being loaded with a bunch of periods after it. Next, a whole bunch of code runs down my screen, then blank and nothing happens. I never get to the point of the nice screens in the install guide. I left it for 4 hours to see if it was reformatting a drive, but that was plenty of time to format the 1TB drive.
Ideas? Sorry, total Linux noob.
***EDIT***
After double checking the install instructions, I fail to get the blue screen that says DISC FOUND. I simply get a blank screen.
Halts on install
Re: Halts on install
Hello, this could mean there is a hardware conflict. I would recommend you select Install with the default video driver and see if that helps.
If you have fairly old hardware, Fedora 14 support may be limited.

Re: Halts on install
The oldest part on the board is an ASUS M3N-HT Mempipe Motherbaord. The rest is newer stuff... 2 TB Green drives (5 of them), a 1 TB Green drive (1 of these for OS), an LG BD-Writer, etc. I will go with the graphics option you suggested. I am also going to disconnect all the drives except for the OS drive and then after I get Amahi up & running, follow the artice on the wiki to add the other drives.
Re: Halts on install
Okay, disco'd all hard drives except the 1TB that I will be using for system. Tried install again, still freezes at the same point. Attempted to install with the basic video driver option, freezes at the same position. Does any one know why this might be happening? I burned this DVD at the slowest speed possible too.

you may want to try running Fedora 14 from a "live CD". Download at http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora and burn a CD. Change your BIOS settings to boot from CD drive first in the list of booting options. restart with the live CD in the drive. if your machine runs Fedora 14 (from the CD) then you at least know that your machine CAN do it. my machine is an old Dell Inspiron 2600 laptop. i upgraded the RAM to 512Mb. the processor is a 1.13GHz Pentium 3. I just squeak by with the minimum specs, but it works... i had to install with the basic video driver option, tho. I used CDs to do my install (Fedora 14 also comes spread out over 5 or 6 CDs)
