No permission to access HDA from Win7

Postby ybouchard » Wed Mar 23, 2011 8:19 pm

When I try to access my shre from Win7 I can see only the first 2 level of directories. When trying to open the third I get the message
"Windows cannot access \\hda\share\1st dir level\2nd dir level\dir you dont have access permission"

I tried :
- Changing the workgroup shares settings
- Changing the permissions of drive/gh directories to 775
Still not work

Any idea whats wrong ?

It could be permissions. If the files got there via some tourtuous means, it could be they got odd permissions in Linux.

How did the files get there?

Check the linux side and this shares troubleshooting page.
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1

As you suggested, I changed permissions to all the subtree of \var\hda\files and it resolved my problem.

Many thanks
