My router is NOT accessible from mine HDA server

Postby Fulvio » Sat Mar 19, 2011 5:45 pm

Hi,
I've finished dvd installation, but i cannot access to internet using HDA. I have read about troubleshooter on Wiki and here on forum. I have made Network Troubleshooter failing step 5: My router is NOT accessible from mine HDA server.

I have only eth0, finished the installation there was not connection, in Administrator>Service Network-Manager was stopped and amahi-installer (was) is dead.
how can i go on?

Thank you

Sounds like a case of incorrect gateway during setup. Does your router IP match what you entered on amahi.org?

You can change it on your HDA by executing the following command as root user:

hda-change-gw routerIP

The routerIP would be something like 192.168.1.1 or whatever your router is assigned.

[fulvio@mimi ~]$ hda-change-gw 192.168.1.1

Well, here the output:

Network settings were successfully applied.
Your HDA services have been restarted.
Your HDA services have been restarted.
It is strongly recommended that you reboot all systems on your network at this point.

After restarting the url http://localhost:2000/ cannot be reached the same.
(Note that I have yet a dynamic IP)
May you have any suggestions before to proceed with a new installation?
In this case, have I to obtain a new code?

Best
