Install with or without LVM?

Hello,
I noticed that the instal instructions for Fedora 14 (http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora_14_install_guide) uses LVM.
This is contrary to the information here:
http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Install_without_LVM
Install without LVM,
Often times Logical Volume Management creates added complexity for inexperienced users. Amahi does not recommend LVM unless you are an advanced user. If you want to avoid using it, following the instructions below.
As an inexperienced user I'm not sure where to start. What is the benifit of LVM if any when installing Fedora 14/Amahi 6?
