Booting freezes after successful install of Fedora 12

Fedora 12 installed fine. So did the re-boot. The bar across the bottom of the screen becomes white and screen goes blank. If I hit <esc>, the white bar comes back and I see Fedora 12^[.

I have a new HP Proliant ML110 G6. I am not a techie so any help would be appreciated.

Could be a video problem.

What video card do you have?

What happens if you press Ctl-Alt-F2? Do you get a tty login?

I don't know what graphics card is in the server. Nothing happened when I tried your suggestion.

When I installed the first time without the Amahi respositories, the re-boot went fine. I did notice then that I had to click on the network icon to get the server to recognized the LAN connection.

Could this be the cause?

I'm not sure.

So you were able to successfully run Fedora before you installed Amahi?
Mouse and windows worked ok?
How about some of the installed apps to see if everything is running ok?

I don't know if a network issue could cause the problem you saw. It's been a long time since I did a full install of Amahi, so I don't recall how it proceeds. I'm sure it does need the network at some point.

Perhaps you could re-install Fedora by itself and try and sort out the networking issues first before installing Amahi?

It sounds like you had a network configuration problem.

I will try to install as I did the first time without the Amahi repositories. The first time everything did work but I will look at the network configuration.

I installed Fedora 12 without the Amahi respository. It did not ask me about DHCP or network connectivity. Re-boot works fine.

There was no network connection so I clicked on network management. Clicked on the e-th0, added it and now have connectivity.

Question: How do I add the Amahi repository? or can I just install Amahi without it?

I am now trying to use the self install as suggested. Below is the screen shot showing an error:

[oltaserver@oltaserver ~]$ su -
Password:
[root@oltaserver ~]# rpm -Uvh http://f12.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm
Retrieving http://f12.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm
curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host 'f12.amahi.org'
error: skipping http://f12.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm - transfer failed
[root@oltaserver ~]#

The documentation said to report bugs in the platform category but I didn't see one. So I am continuing in this one.
