Hi! I'm pretty new to Amahi, but I like what I see!

So, I was discussing with a colleague today about how to set up my home server. He suggested to use VMware ESXi as a platform, and install Amahi and Untangle as two virtual servers. I have two network ports so I thought I should use Untangle as the firewall.

Does anyone have some thought about how this sounds? Or got any other suggestions to how I could set up my system.

That sounds pretty good if you intend to use your PC as a router or firewall. However, I haven't tried it, so testing is always welcome! There are a few repurcussions to running Amahi in a virtual machine; some apps do not behave well. You'll need to configure accordingly. The amount of config it needs may not be for the beginner. It seems that I don't have supported network hardware for ESXi to work, so I think I'll end up with only Amahi.
