Migration from Amahi 4 to 5 questions

I currently have Amahi 4, with an interest in installing Amahi 5. Before I go about doing this, I just want to get things straight - I'll have to wipe my system disk (actually, it's a CF card), and do a brand new install of Fedora 12 and then Amahi 5? This is rather frustrating, since I've spent a lot of time tweaking my current system and do not really want to go through all of that again. Then I'll have to reconfigure my RAID (and hopefully not lose any data in the process), and reinstall all of the apps that I currently have installed? Maybe I'm jumping to the worst; hopefully I'm wrong. Please let me know what to expect with an upgrade! Thanks.

I haven't tried it yet, but this is what was on the blog:
A Note on Upgrading from Amahi 4
Because this release comes with so many improvements for future scalability, we do not support/recommend upgrading from Amahi 4.x (Fedora 10) to Amahi 5.0 (Fedora 12). We strongly recommend a fresh install after backing up your data.
Fedora does support updating directly from Fedora 10 to Fedora 12, however, this is not well tested by the community and our experience indicates this can have lots of technical issues. If you decide to test this update path, please report your results in the forum
