moving from AMAHI6 to AMAHI7
Re: moving from AMAHI6 to AMAHI7
Thanks! I am still testing Amahi 7 in a VM. I managed to get a desktop installed with it, but sure seems slow. It makes app testing easier for me as I don't want to shut down my Ubuntu HDA until Amahi 7 is solid.

Re: moving from AMAHI6 to AMAHI7
In the past I had to run hda-diskmount to get the correct UUID.
As for your mounting, seems redundant to have shares and Greyhole all on one drive. I would leave the shares on OS drive if there is room, then make the second drive pure Greyhole.

I dont understand what you mean by "redundant to have shares and Greyhole all on one drive"?In the past I had to run hda-diskmount to get the correct UUID.

I currently have this:
WDC drive: OS partitions (not on greyhole) and one partition for storage part of the greyhole pool
Samsung drive: just one storage partition and part of the greyhole pool
I want to move to
SSD: for OS partitions
WDC: just one storage partition and part of the greyhole pool
Samsung: just one partition and part of the greyhole pool
I have only the "pictures share" set to 2 copies (because of two drives) so if I loose one hof the two drives I can just swap in a new one and be sure I always keep my pictures. the rest are movies and tv series. no big problem if I would loose those.
Re: moving from AMAHI6 to AMAHI7
I guess what I was trying to say is having one drive for the OS and Greyhole is not the best option. If that drive goes bad, you lose any files not replicated by Greyhole. Since you only have 2 drives, I can see where this is your only option.
Your future setup is what I was eluding to in the previous post. OS and LZ on one drive, other two for Greyhole. I have a similar setup, except I have 3 drives for Greyhole. Seems to work well for me.
