Well, it is a bit involved, but you do not need the USB NIC as I used. Instead I would check out this user's post:

It is an excellent walk through on how to install on another machine, then transfer the HD to the ACER and have it detect the NIC on first boot. There is also this thread:

I can say that I've had mine up and running for about a month now and I love it. Quiet, low power, and very expandable. With greyhole I have finally reached an excellent level of redundancy on my shares. I would recommend it as a solid Amahi box.

SWEET! Thanks for the lil info for this. I'll try it (the first attempt to do something like that failed) and see how that should work better... if not, well I have a NIC at work that will work in this machine.
