there is an arm version of fedora 12 that can be installed on this device. i'm currently waiting for my guruplug plus to arrive (mid april) hopefully and will possibly try this although my intial purchase was just for a cifs/nfs server.

Right now you can by a new Seagate FreeAgent Dockstar Network Adapter, which is basically a sheevaplug, for $25 from buy.com via amazon.com, free shipping. USB disk not included. Very cheap for an HDA!

hi dwd,

that is an interesting little device!

wonder if we can make it work.

we have Amahi running on the sheevaplug, though only the core team, and we're working on how to announce this support (shhhh) :)

Now what? :)

I put some links in this Dockstar wiki page I created.

Now, if someone could put there in simple/easy terms how to make it boot from a USB flash disk that has Amahi on it already (if you happened to have that around). :) :)
