Installing problem amahi home server

Postby slemo » Thu May 27, 2010 5:39 am

Hi, on my pc i have installed windows xp, i run Fedora 12 as virtual machine.
I don't know how to install Amahi Home Server. I created amahi account, then i entered my dhcp ip adress wich is always the same, we use proxy server to get to the internet.

when i install virtual fedora i can't find this steps:
"Stop when you reach the "repositories" page. Unselect Office and Productivity, unless you really want it (e.g. to simultaneously use your HDA as a desktop)
Shot4
Clip Click on the "Add additional software repositories" button and add the Amahi repository with the following information:"

What should i do?

Hello,

Are you using the Fedora 12 DVD Install disc? If not, then recommend you do so. The live CD and net install are not supported for Amahi.

Also, the dhcp info you enter at amahi.org must be that of the virtual machine, not your windows machine. If you are not assigning a separate ip (using NAT) to the VM, it will be 10.0.x.x format.

I have tried to install from the live cd unsuccessfully. Recommend you use the full DVD. Also, please ensure you follow the install instructions at http://www.amahi.org/support/instructions.

This will ensure Fedora 12 is setup correctly for the Amahi install. Hope this helps. If you need additional assistance, please let us know.
