Adding usb drive

Hi i have added an external hard drive and created a share on it but it does not become accessible until i have actually logged on using user name and password the other shares an the internal hard disk are all accessible without logging on as this machine will be running headless i am looking for a solution to this please anyone

I would think that is due to the fact that the drive is automounted by Gnome, which will not be started until you logon.

There are instructions in the Wiki for setting up autologon, which would probably fix your problem.
