Postby christiancg » Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:43 am

Hi,

I very new to all of this and I am stuck.

I have install Fedora, I had not trouble with this. At least I suppose.

After, I remove the Fedora install dvd and connect my ethernet wire and restart.

After reboot, the DOS ask me a login and a password, I enter it and seems to work.

After the line apper: christian@localhost 1$

After entering the line : root@localhost

After that I don't understand, I try to type the line and it don't work.

After, I remove the Fedora install dvd and connect my ethernet wire and restart.
The ethernet cable needs to be connected from the start. Don't disconnect it.
After reboot, the DOS ask me a login and a password, I enter it and seems to work.
This is a headless server, so logging into the console will only be useful for command line access. Once you have logged in, then follow the instructions for installing Amahi 8. Each command must be entered one at a time, then press enter to execute.

That likely means you don't have network connectivity. Recommend you start over and ensure the machine is hard-wired with the ethernet cable.

No what I mean is you need to start the Fedora OS install with the ethernet connected. You indicated you did not plug in the ethernet cable until after it was installed.

You might want to start over.

Having the internet connected is a must! What instructions are you following? You should be following the Amahi 8 Install recommended minimum install method.

If you have not consulted the minimum requirements, suggest you do so. If your hardware does not meet the criteria, Amahi will not work for you.
