This is a network issue I believe. Recommend you turn off all clients in your network and the HDA. Disable the DHCP on you router.
Then with only the router and modem on, restart them. Next turn on the HDA and check that it gets the intended static IP address before powering on any clients.
This should fix your issue. I've seen this before in my own network and a complete network refresh fixed the issue.

Yeah, I've tried that many times. I still get a self assigned IP address on my access point, and with only the HDA and router turned on, the amahi.org control panel still tells me that it's not updating. It's not giving out DHCP addresses, and it's not connecting to amahi.org.This is a network issue I believe. Recommend you turn off all clients in your network and the HDA. Can you assign a single IP address to the HDA using your router?
Some users have routers that won't allow the DHCP server to be turned off. This is how they get around the limitation. This procedure may help.
This is something that appears to be specific to your network. We have not heard of anyone else having such issues.
What do you mean access point? Maybe you should describe your network setup so I understand.

Re: CLOSED: Upgraded from 7.1 to 8, hda not showing up in Amahi Control Panel
I have Verizon FIOS as my ISP. I have the Verizon router, and I have a Apple Time Machine Wireless Access Point attached to it in Bridge Mode. I know that there are issues with Apple, but it is off at the moment. The only hosts attached to my network is my HDA. If it is working correctly, I should be getting "Running" on the amahi.org control panel. Right now I'm getting:Can you assign a single IP address to the HDA using your router?

NICKNAME IP ADDRESS STATUS
tamorgen x.x.x.x Not updating
The thing is, the exact setup worked fine with Amahi 6 and Amahi 7.x. What has changed in Amahi 8 that isn't allowing this to work?
Re: CLOSED: Upgraded from 7.1 to 8, hda not showing up in Amahi Control Panel
The Amahi control panel takes time to update. Just because it says not updating does not mean your HDA is not working. Very little has changed between Amahi 7 and 8 if anything in regards to networking.
I have heard of users having issues with Verizon FIOS routers. There is something off somewhere between your network and Amahi. We have had some minor issues recently with DNS and the Amahi web site, but that has been corrected.
Did you do minimal install when you reinstalled Amahi 8? Also have you deleted the HDA profile and created a new one before installing? Just curious as reusing the same profile for multiple versions of Amahi has caused issues in the past.
If the control panel issue persists, recommend you contact support. I cannot help with that unfortunately.
EDIT: Can you please do this and provide the URL?
