Hi all. So I'm just trying to install Amahi for the first time, but keep getting the same issue...
Basically, I'm trying to install 7.1 express, from a CD, it boots to the GRUB-esque stuff, and runs through all the normal stuff, and then I get to a screen stating "Starting Installer, one moment..." and then "Anaconda 19.30.13-1 for amahi 7 started", and then I lose output to the monitor, it just comes up no connection and attempts to go into standby.
I've tried another monitor, but I'm getting the same issue...
Any ideas?
Unable to install Amahi - Screen loses signal before installer starts
Re: Unable to install Amahi - Screen loses signal before installer starts
The Express CD/DVD may not contain the necessary drivers for your hardware. I'm afraid you will have to use the Fedora 19 Full DVD disc for install.
If that does not work, then there may be some compatibility issue with your Hardware and Fedora 19.

Re: Unable to install Amahi - Screen loses signal before installer starts
Ah, yeah, that makes sense... I'll give that a go.
Although at first I thought there might be something wrong with my install media, so I tested it on another box, and it booted to the install menu without issue, so now I'm wondering, and I know this is more than likely not a good idea... Would it be possible to install Amahi on the PC that will boot, with the drive Amahi on the drive that will be in the server, and then just transplant the drive back?
Originally the idea was to have Amahi installed on a smaller 80GB IDE drive in the server, with 4 500GB SATA drives for the main bulk of the storage. The only issue is, that box's mobo is the only one I have that has IDE, so if the above "solution" was to work, would I lose one of the SATA drives to Amahi? I.e, FreeNAS doesn't support partitioning, so the entirety of the SATA drive would be lost to the OS, which I'd obviously like to avoid with a larger capacity drive.
Cheers.

It might work, but may cause issues once transplanted.Would it be possible to install Amahi on the PC that will boot, with the drive Amahi on the drive that will be in the server, and then just transplant the drive back?
Only if the OS is installed on a SATA drive. I would recommend you try the DVD install I recommended previously. Might be a simpler solution. The only issue is, that box's mobo is the only one I have that has IDE, so if the above "solution" was to work, would I lose one of the SATA drives to Amahi?
