Hi.
I am thinking of installing AMAHI 7.1 via the Express CD. Somewhere in the install instruction it says, "If your system has more than one NIC (network interface), please disable all but one of them (usually in the BIOS)."
Can someone please explain that.
1) What is the point?
2) How do i do that?
3) And when? Prior to install of Amahi? After? Or it doesn't matter?
Thx

Re: NIC
Amahi only works with one network interface out of the box. To prevent issues, it's important that you only have one active network interface prior to installing Amahi.
Do you have more than one network card in your machine? If you do, often you can disable it in the computer BIOS. For example, some machines have a built in network interface and an additional network card installed.
You can tell by looking at the back of the PC you are going to use for Amahi. If there is more than one place to plug in a network cable, then you have multiple network interfaces. Typically you can access the BIOS by pressing F2 or DELETE key during the PC boot up sequence.
Hope that helps answer your questions.
