I am researching changing from Fedora 14 to Ubuntu 12.04.2. Is it possible to backup my applications and then, after installing them fresh on the Ubuntu, copy my old /var/hda/web-apps/"name the program" file over the installation? I am trying to avoid setting up the apps all over again. The specific programs I want to move are:
-GLPI
-Subsonic
-MYITCRM
(B.T.W. I know that Amahi 7 is out but there are some features that I want that 7 does not have yet.)

That would not be wise. If you want to back up settings, recommend you back up the databases for those apps. You can restore that part.
If you know where the settings are stored in files, you could back those up.
Not sure what features Amahi 7 is missing. If you could be more specific, it might save you some time down the road.
