"Error setting up software source"

Postby liza » Wed Dec 18, 2013 1:06 am

I'm trying to install from the Express Disk (turned the ISO into a bootable USB stick) and I keep running into the same error each time I try to install. I get past network setup to the screen that has Localization, Software, Storage, etc headings, and then in front of that screen I get a box saying "An unknown error has occurred." In the background I can see that under the Software heading there's a red italic "Error setting up software source." Anyone know what to do about this one? This is not my first time installing some flavor of Linux, but it is my first time with Amahi.

We do not support the USB install method. It may not work as you are finding out.

There was some guidance in the wiki for the old Fedora 14 Express CD that might help. Not sure where it's located, but a search should find it. If you do get it to work, please feel free to update the wiki guidance for Fedora 19.
