Re: setting up new Amahi Box for a friend
I did this for a friend before and he just brought me his tower and told me his network details and necessary users and shares to build onto it, but in the end there's almost always something more to configure.... and yet it can be a hand-off more or less.
I would suggest to setup an account for your friend and then get all his logins and shares he wants in an email and then set it all up for him. Then give him his account details and explain how to run a terminal for a finalizing
just so that everything's up to date.
Then you're likely want to explain the shares and greyhole real quick.
It can be done, if you just want to hand it off, but the post-install/setup work depends on how savvy the friend is with the concept of a home server.
One could setup a home server for a friend but if the friend has no idea what good to use a server for, it will just sit idle.

Code: Select all
sudo yum update -y
