installation deependancy issue

Postby jeremyjjbrown » Wed May 02, 2012 8:50 pm

I'm getting the follwing dependancy issue when trying to yum install hda-suite on a fresh Fedora 16.

Code: Select all

--> Processing Dependency: ruby = 1.8.7.352 for package: 1:rubygem-passenger-native-libs-3.0.9-2.fc16_1.8.7.352.i386 --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: 1:rubygem-passenger-native-libs-3.0.9-2.fc16_1.8.7.352.i386 (amahi) Requires: ruby = 1.8.7.352 Available: ruby-1.8.7.352-1.fc16.x86_64 (amahi) ruby = 1.8.7.352-1.fc16 Installing: ruby-1.8.7.358-1.fc16.x86_64 (updates) ruby = 1.8.7.358-1.fc16 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
should I install --skip-broken? Something tells me I need ruby to work properly or I am going to have big problems down the road.

This is a known issue and being worked. It may have in fact been fixed.

Please understand that Amahi for Fedora 16 is not the official Amahi release. It is still in ALPHA stage development and there are still bugs, no apps, etc.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora_16

Recommend you install the official Fedora 14 version if you want to explore Amahi's potential.
