I've done a search and can't find anything directly related to this question but I expect it has been asked before.
I'm in the process of setting up a new HDA to replace my old and creaking one. My old one is called "HDA" and the new one (not surprisingly) "HDA2" on my home network. When I set up the new install code on the amahi site, it gave me an external address of "myusername-2.yourhda.com" which makes sense I suppose. My question is this; When I eventually get the new server set up and in control of everything I need, is is possible to swap over the names to be "HDA" and "myusername.yourhda.com" like I had on the old server? I'd also like to set up the same static IP as I have on my existing server but that might I don't know if that's as simple as changing it on the server. As you can see, this is outside my area of expertise.
Any help would be great.

Changing the name and dydns on my new HDA
Re: Changing the name and dydns on my new HDA
This is not something we routinely do. I am unsure if it is possible, but I think it is.

OK thanks for the reply. I can live with the different name and IP address but it would have been nice to keep the original settings and external access addresses.
