First of all, thanks for a compelling alternative to WHS!
I've managed to perform a self install and have everything set up and running. I've been copying files from NTFS drives to greyhole-managed shares over the last few days while waiting for the Amahi Control Panel to sync up with my server so I can start installing apps, but it still just says "Awaiting install".
I had some network configuration issues when I first got it setup, so I was hoping there was some way to force it through. Anyone have an idea as to when it pushes its status to amahi.org?
Thanks!
"Awaiting install" after successful self install
Re: "Awaiting install" after successful self install
It should catch up fairly quickly unless your network configuration issues are preventing the sync up.
What do you mean by self install? If you mean you followed those instructions in the wiki versus the ones on the web site, then that could be part of your issue.

Yup, I followed these instructions: http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Self-install-existing
I think the issue had something to do with my network not being up right away when I booted my server (the settings were wrong for dns and gateway), so it would never trigger the sync. It allowed me to install one app today, then went back to "There are no applications available at this time. This could be due to a lack of network connectivity." I think I've still got dns issues, so I'll go back to fixing that after work and give an update.
Thanks!

Re: "Awaiting install" after successful self install
Right, that is not the officially supported method of install. It works best when you follow these:
http://www.amahi.org/support/instructions
There is no need to do it the other way unless you had an existing Fedora install and you did not want to start over. But in the case of the problems you are having, I recommend you follow the official path.
Your choice of course, but it is proven to be the more sound method. Users have had far less issues with install that way.
