System Migration help (network card problems)

Postby kaneco » Sat May 21, 2011 6:34 am

Hello,
I recently I clone my amahi server to other but I have a problem with network card, on the boot message system appears a msg "bringing up interface eth0: Device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization" i think the problem is with a new network card
How can i install a new network card on new amahi server or solve this issue?

Best regards
Thank you in advance

Ensure if you have an integrated network card that it is disabled. That should then allow the add in card to be referenced as eth0.

Might find some help in Fedora forums as well.

Hello Bigfoot65

Thank you for your replay,

Just to make sure that I have understand you, what I need to do is disable the Ethernet card on bios setup and then when I add it again I will be able to install the correct driver, is it?

Best regards
