I followed the installation on amahi.org with only one change. I put /var/hda/files/ partition on a different hard drive than the OS.
the installation got to "packages completed: 64 of 1262

Fedora 14 installation crashes on glibc
Re: Fedora 14 installation crashes on glibc
Can you describe your hardware? This is typical behavior of incompatible hardware with Fedora. Not saying that is the issue, but could be.

Re: Fedora 14 installation crashes on glibc
it's an old Pentium 4 3 GHz HP workstation. 512 MB ram. 40gb ide hard drive, not much else.
Re: Fedora 14 installation crashes on glibc
That could be part of the issue. I have noticed that Fedora is pretty good about supporting new technology, but often leaves the old behind.
My only recommendation would be that you try the unsupported USB install of Fedora 14. I have done it a few times with success. Check out the wiki page here http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora_14_usb_install.
Hope it works out.

Re: Fedora 14 installation crashes on glibc
I had a similar situation with glibc. I used "yum -y update --skip-broken" and "yum distro-sync --skip broken" and then ran "hda-update-amahi5-to-amahi6" and everything worked.
It may work for you also. I dont see how it could make things worse since it is updating your install yo current packages.
