Adito VPN problem after upgrading to Amahi6

Postby mtotton » Tue Mar 08, 2011 7:23 am

With great trepidation I upgraded to Fedora 14 and Amahi6, and it worked. Up came the desktop, even VNC server started. But...
Whenever I try to access the Amahi dashboard I get sent to the Adito login on port 443. This happens however I try to address the server.
Does anyone know how can get over this?

There are 2 possible solutions. One, would be to uninstall and reinstall Adito. The second one is to stop the Adito Service, then restart it.

A bug was corrected a while back. If you have not installed recently, you do not have the latest code. You can try this as root user in terminal:

Edit the service, /etc/init.d/adito and change the following line as follows:
# chkconfig: 2345 90 90

Then execute the following command:

/sbin/chkconfig adito resetpriorities

Now restart Adito:

service adito restart

That should correct the problem. A reboot may be required as well. Please let us know if this worked.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it gets worse.
In order to be able to access my Amahi at all I uninstalled Adito VPN, but when I wanted to reinstall it the app was not available from Amahi any more. As I am not a very advanced Linux user, can you tell me which version I can install on Amahi and where there are instructions?
