Fedora 14 and Amahi 5.6

Did an upgrade today to Fedora 14 and Amahi 5.6. I had to spend a bit of time doing some repairing to the packages that did not seem to update properly. Yum'd em all until I have no errors or dependency issues. But now my Applications that are installed, available are not present. Kinda like if you installed Amahi on Fedora 13. Did I jump the gun on Fedora 14, was Amahi not supported just yet? I tried to force a reinstall of Amahi and the local host comes up with ruby errors.

You're seeing this error because you have enabled the show_exceptions setting.


So, any idea's anyone. Is there a way to wipe out the Amahi install, and start over using the install code from the original install.

Fedora 14 is NOT supported for Amahi. We are just beginning to work it now. If you would like to help test, that is great. When we get to that point, we will put out a call for testers.

Fedora 12 remains the ONLY Amahi supported platform. I would recommend you go back to Fedora 12 until we have something developed to test. We do not have an estimate established as to when we will support Fedora 14 at the moment. There are no apps or anything remotely ready for support.

Well, it is sorta broken. The packages I have installed seem to be working ok, Ushare, AmahiTunes, from clients but the web admin pages to access there settings are unavailable. I was wanting to just to a complete uninstall and then reinstall a the apps to see if I could at least get the web apps to be viewable in. When I go to the Apps page on the HDA web page is shows none available or installed, but I was at least able to manually enter there local address and see its respective settings.

No problem. Like I said, we are a ways off with Fedora 14. You won't see apps as the repo has not been built. Yesterday began the trek to get the installer compatible with F14. Hoping it will not be too bad, but one can never tell.

Keep your ears to the forums for updates and when it will be ready for testing.

I know it says we need fedora 12 in the installation instructions but its hould be made clear that later versions are not supported or will not work
