So i followed the installation instructions. After fedora finished its install, i went into terminal, logged into root, and typed 'hda-install xxxxxxx'
Upto that point i had a working connection to the internet, after the system rebooted and the install was complete i no longer have an internet or network connection. I can access http://hda from fedora, but not from a network computer, nor can i access the internet.
Here however is the kicker, i have Amahi/Fedora installed in VirtualBox. My actual setup is win 7 and wireless. Im just confused why the internet worked in the VM, in Fedora until i installed Amahi from terminal. Is Amahi trying to act as a DHCP server, should i turn this off?
Any suggestions or info would be great.
Network/internet connection lost after installing Amahi
Re: Network/internet connection lost after installing Amahi
ahhh yes, there's a catch22 there.
you've disabled the routers' DHCP, so Windows will ask another DHCP server for a lease (which is Amahi in a VM). The VM is unable to reach the gateway because there is no network yet, so the router will not forward the IP lease request. I can understand this will create issues.
Short of disabling Amahi's DHCP and using your routers' DHCP I can't think of a solution.
